Retaining some original nickel-plated finish, the barrel engraved Colt's PT.F.A.MFG.Co. Hartford CT. U.S.A. PAT.AUG.5.84.NOV.6.1888 and with blade-foresight, the left side stamped Colt D.A. 32, grooved top-strap engraved W.T. Hancock & Co., 4a(?) Pall Mall Place, St. James's, the left side of the frame stamped with rampant colt trademark encircled with Colt's New Pocket, the butt with chequered two-piece composition grips
