With tapering finely watered blade double-edged at the point, iron hilt with pinched in basal mount and decorated with gold-damascened foliage and dots, the latter along one side of the grip, and rounded ivory grip-scales, in later wooden scabbard covered in plum velvet with gilt locket and chape each pierced with foliage, the former with small ring for suspension
