The blade with one mekugi-ana, midare hamon of nie, fully bound tsuka with shakudo fuchi-kashira decorated with chrysanthemum in gold, gilt Shi-shi menuki, and circular iron nambam tsuba chiselled and pierced with dragons and scrolls, gold details, in its black lacquered saya complete with shakudo-nanako kodzuka decorated with a mounted samurai in armour and a boat crossing a river, soft-metal details
