With sighted continental barrel cut with sighting lines along almost its entire length from the breech flat, gold-lined touch-hole, grooved finely engraved tang, rounded lock with moulded border and signed within a foliate ribbon, cock with border en suite, pan with water-drains, and steel recessed to fit over the lip of the pan, moulded figured full stock (fore-end with minor repair) carved in relief with a shell behind the barrel tang, cheek-piece with leather pad (worn and repaired) secured by small dome-headed brass nails, iron mounts comprising side-plate pierced and chiselled with foliage centred on a cartouche, vacant escutcheon en suite, butt-plate engraved with a martial trophy above a rocaille on the heel tang, border engraved trigger-guard with first pattern acorn finial and with a cross-hatched oval on the bow, engraved ramrod-pipes, and horn-tipped ramrod with iron worm (some wear and scattered pitting)
