With blued octagonal sighted barrel with London address, cylinder with roll engraved stagecoach hold-up scene, frame (trigger and trigger mechanism missing) stamped 'Colt's Patent' on the left side, rammer, silvered trigger-guard and back-strap (minor bruising), varnished figured rounded grips, and matching numbers (surface rust overall): in original fitted oak case lined in blue velvet and with accessories including Bartram & Co. brass-mounted powder-flask retaining most of its original lacquered finish, and steel bullet mould stamped 'Colt's Patent' (rust patinated), the interior of the lid with retailer's illustrated trade label, exterior with circular brass escutcheon engraved with owner's name 'W.J. Thomas, London', London proof marks
