With twist sighted barrels, signed action (defective) operating against two hinges and automatically cocked on opening for loading, the tapering lever with hooked spring-catch at the rear, brass stricker-heads, figured half-stock (some bruising) with cheek-piece and chequered grip, plain steel mounts including scrolled cocking-lever in front of the trigger-guard, and sling loops (ramrod missing, some wear and rust patination), Liège proof; together with another example of 22-bore, no. 39, with foliate engraved action and mounts, and steel ramrod with white-metal tip (heavily pitted overall, the stock water damaged) (2)
