With plain barrels (probably slightly shortened) and tangs, the latter grooved for sighting, signed border engraved rounded locks, figured full stocks (one repaired above the tail of the lock) each carved with a shell behind the barrel tang, regulation brass mounts comprising shaped bevelled side-plates, spurred pommels each with grotesque mask cap, trigger-guards, shaped vacant escutcheons, turned ramrod-pipes, and later brass-tipped ramrods, King's proof marks, one set of proof marks double stamped and with barrelsmith's mark 'IC', a star above (2)
