With plain barrel and tang, flat bevelled lock with 'V.R.' crowned and 'Tower' across the stepped tail (hammer-nose damaged), full stock stamped with inspector's marks, Board of Ordnance ownership mark, and with supplier's name 'Barnett' opposite the lock, regulation brass mounts, iron lanyard loop, and stirrup ramrod (steel parts rust patinated), indistinct proof marks
