The first with plain shortened barrel and part octagonal breech, plain tang, flat bevelled lock (cock replaced) with faint traces of etched manufactory details, moulded figured full stock (minor worming, small repair opposite the lock) incised '1774' behind the side-plate, bird's head butt, brass trigger-guard and bevelled side-plate with rounded tail, and brass ramrod-pipe (worn and pitted, ramrod missing); the second with plain barrel and tang, rounded lock, full stock, regulation bras mounts including flat ovoidal butt-cap with iron lanyard ring, brass fore-end cap, and no provision for a ramrod (some wear overall) Liège proof (2)
