With slender tapering blade of deeply hollowed triangular section with central fuller over most of its length on the inner face, the forte etched on each face with formal scrollwork, the hilt comprising concave oval guard radially fluted inside and out and pierced with crosses around its outer edge, rear quillon, knuckle-guard, solid grip, and tall ovoidal pommel with button, decorated throughout with hollowed facets (gilding worn)
