With russet barrel and part octagonal breech (tang cover replaced), engraved flat bevelled lock (cock and steel acid cleaned), full stock with curved butt cast and chased overall with foliage in low relief enriched with nielloed flower-heads and ribbon-like borders, a trophy of arms behind the rear ramrod-pipe and barrel tang, and a bird in front of the trigger-guard, all against a stippled ground, partly diagonally fluted grip, spirally fluted pommel, trigger-guard with a flower-head on the bow, muzzle-sleeve en suite with the stock, and false ramrod (trigger replaced)
