A Rare Indo-Persian Flintlock Blunderbuss
19th Century
With two-stage barrel chiselled and gilt with cartouche-shaped panels of flowering foliage at the flared muzzle, mid-section and along the octagonal breech, tang en suite and incorporating a back-sight, flat lock (roller missing) and ring-neck cock chiselled en suite, full stock painted overall in polychrome and gilt against a red ground (some restoration) with foliage inhabited by Persiapolitan male and female figures and foxes, the left side of the butt with a nobleman on horseback, iron butt-plate and trigger-guard en suite with the lock, iron ramrod-pipes, and original iron ramrod
