The first with domed skull decorated overall with gold- and silver-damascened foliage and symmetrical arabesques, and encircled by eight silvered brass strap-shaped mounts each with pierced scrolled terminal above a slender applied band around the rim and secured by round-headed rivets, fitted with two plume-holders, adjustable nasal with shaped terminal and held in the up position by a ring-catch, and central spike threaded onto a domed mount with petalled borders, all decorated en suite with the skull, the rim with silver-damascened panels containing Persian verses against gold-damascened grounds, and short vandyked camail of butted rings; the second of characteristic form and decorated en suite with the top, both retaining its original printed cloth lining (2)
