With curved single-edged blade finely watered with Jacob's Ladder pattern, the hilt comprising quillon-block decorated with engraved and gilt foliage against an etched ground, pointed langets and tapering quillons with button terminals, grip-strap en suite with the quillon-block (worn and partly replaced), and replacement ivory grip-scales, in its leather-covered wooden scabbard with original suspension mounts decorated en suite, and plain iron chape of diamond section
