Baker action patent no. 761 of 23rd February 1878, the lockplates engraved with the makers name in a scrolling banner surrounded by foliate-scrollwork, side-safety, well-figured stock (cracked and repaired at lower horns, cracks behind locks) with horn butt-plate, lever-latch forend, the rebrowned damascus barrels (pitted, loose on action) with game-rib engraved Cogswell & Harrison, 142 New Bond Street, London
