With rebrowned twist octagonal sighted barrels each signed along the top flat, tangs each incorporating a back-sight and engraved with a martial trophy, gold-lined touch-holes, signed border engraved detented flat bevelled locks (one cock an old replacement) each decorated with a starburst behind the pan, border engraved safety-catches, and steel springs each with roller, figured half-stocks, chequered flat-sided rounded butts, border engraved trigger-guards each with pineapple finial, decorated with a martial trophy and foliage on the bow and retaining some blueing, horn fore-end caps, vacant silver escutcheons and barrel-bolt escutcheons, set triggers, and original horn-tipped ramrod (the other replaced): in original relined and refitted mahogany case with some accessories including Sykes brass-mounted three-way powder-flask (cut-off spring incomplete) and iron bullet mould, the exterior of the lid with shaped brass escutcheon incorporating a flush-fitting carrying handle (keyhole escutcheon missing), London proof marks
