With brass barrel and plain iron tang, signed border engraved flat bevelled lock (top jaw and screw replaced), figured full stock (butt split, some worming), regulation brass mounts including pommel engraved 'General Post Office' (worn) at the back, and later brass-tipped ramrod, London proof marks
