With russet three-stage cannon barrel, breech engraved 'London', signed beneath the steel-spring and with a broad band of foliage behind, waisted border engraved tang decorated with foliage, border engraved action (cock replaced), sliding trigger-guard safety-catch engraved with a flower-head on the bow (worn), swelling figured butt carved in low relief with a shell behind the tang, cast and chased mounts comprising pierced foliate side-plate, vacant foliate escutcheon, a shell above, and grotesque mask butt-cap (some wear), London proof marks and Foreigner's mark
