A Rare Cased Irish 13-Bore Single-Trigger D.B. Percussion Pistol

With etched twist sighted barrels signed in gothic script along the rib, case-hardened breeches engraved with foliage between and each with platinum lines and pieced platinum plug, foliate engraved case-hardened tang, signed border engraved serial numbered back-action locks each with three bents, and dolphin hammers (one spur detached and with old repair), varnished figured half-stock with chequered rounded butt, the latter with ovoidal pommel with blued border engraved butt-cap with hinged circular cover engraved with foliage, trigger-guard engraved en suite with the locks and retaining traces of blueing, trigger-plate with engraved pineapple-shaped finial, rear ramrod-pipe en suite, vacant silver escutcheon, stirrup ramrod, and much of its original finish (some minor surface rust): in original lined and fitted oak case (lock missing) with accessories including Sykes three-way powder-flask retaining most of its original lacquered finish, and iron bullet mould, the interior of the lid with maker's trade label for 24 Suffolk Street, Dublin, the exterior with circular vacant brass escutcheon
