By McCormick, Probably Robert Of Belfast And Dublin, Late 18th Century
Converted from flintlock, with russet two-stage barrel flared at the muzzle and stamped with County Dublin registration mark 'DU-391' along the top of the octagonal breech, tang engraved with a martial trophy, signed border engraved flat bevelled lock (rust patinated, safety-catch incomplete), figured full stock (minor bruising and repair in front of the lock) with chequered grip, brass mounts comprising butt-plate engraved with a bird in a landscape on the heel tang, large scroll trigger-guard with pineapple finial and engraved en suite on the bow, brass ramrod-pipes, and brass-mounted ramrod; together with a decorative flintlock blunderbuss with flared iron barrel, plain lock, full stock, brass mounts, and iron ramrod (2)
