A Cased Colt 1851 Model Navy Percussion Revolver

With octagonal sighted barrel with New York address, cylinder originally with roll engraved naval engagement scene, frame stamped 'Colt's Patent' on the left side, rammer, brass trigger-guard and back-strap (repaired), figured rounded grips, and matching numbers (rammer and hammer replaced, worn and some pitting overall): in later mahogany case lined in plum velvet, the exterior with shaped brass escutcheon engraved 'James Cocks, Plaitford 1848.'
