An English Brass-Hilted Hunting Hanger

With curved fullered blade (some pitting) double-edged towards the point and punched with characteristic foliage on both sides of the rectangular forte, cast and chased hilt comprising shell-guard with a falconer on horseback in a landscape, lobed rear quillon with a portrait bust on both sides, knuckle-guard with central figure of a cherub on both sides, pommel-cap with Leda and the Swan on each side and with button finial, and natural buckhorn grip
