Of convex form, with four silver-damascened bosses and an applied brass border, the centre engraved with a petalled roundel containing Persian verses, a further four roundels and eight semi-circular roundels en suite beyond and all against a ground of chiselled foliage, the broad outer border with ovoidal and circular panels of chiselled Persian verses in cursive script between borders of foliage and running arabesques
