The hira-zukuri blade with one mekugi-ana, leather wrapped tsuka with shibuichi mounts, the kashira decorated with crashing waves and drops of spray in gold, the fuchi signed Hankodo Tomotsune, and silver and gilt dragon menuki, in its finely ribbed red lacquered saya with shibuichi mounts decorated en suite with the tsuka, yamagane saya-kanemono in the form of a flight of birds, and complete with silver kodzuka engraved with two cranes and signed Atsuoki
