  • Gifted from Helene Thimig (1899-1974), wife of Max Reinhardt, to Gitta Honeyman (nee Sereny) (1921-2012) in 1966, thence by descent. This lot is accompanied by a note from Thimig to Honeyman written on the occasion the gift was presented.

    Ernst Paltscho (1858-1929) founded the firm in 1899. He was appointed jeweller to the Greek Royal House and worked for many of the Austro-Hungarian aristocracy. The business was continued by his son Erwin, who joined the firm in 1918.
