A fancy-coloured diamond and diamond ring, circa 1940
The central marquise-cut diamond of yellow tint, weighing 2.40 carats, between marquise-cut diamond cluster shoulders, remaining diamonds approximately 1.30 carats total, ring size K½
Accompanied by a certificate from AnchorCert stating that the central diamond is fancy vivid yellow, natural colour, SI2 clarity. Certificate number 20003312, dated 11th May 2012.
By family repute, this ring was a wedding gift from South Africa based diamond cutter, Escha Kadinsky, to the new wife of his brother-in-law Rudolph Kelbert, of the family jewellery firm Little Switzerland. The ring was bequeathed to her sister and then to her sister's goddaughter, the current owner.
