The hood with arched swan's neck crest with flowerhead terminals surmounted by brass urn and spire finials over an arched glazed door opening to a painted fourteen inch dial with Roman and Arabic chapter ring, date aperture and seconds hand, signed Robert Fletcher, Chester painted in the arch with an heroic portrait of Lord Nelson, the trunk with an oval line inlaid door above a plinth base.
