A Louis XVI style brass and gilt bronze mounted mahogany bureau à cylindre
mid 19th century
The rectangular marble top with three quarter pierced gallery over a recessed frieze fitted with three small drawers divided and flanked by fluted panels above a cylindrical top opening to reveal an interior fitted with three pigeon holes and drawers over a leather inset writing slide and frieze drawer raised on tapered fluted legs ending in toupie feet, overall decorated with brass bandings.
