A carved jade covered ewer
The fitted lid with bud shaped finial surmounting a body of flattened pear form supporting a handle, spout and raised foot, the sides incised in shallow relief with flowers, wanzi, and a makara beast head at the base of the curved spout, the stone of olive green hue with a mottled white matrix and noticeable veins of charcoal and oatmeal colored inclusions.
