The first of oval section and decorated with a waterfall by a blossoming plum tree rendered in gold takamakie, hiramakie and black and gold togidashi with kirigane, hirame and aogai embellishments on a roiro-nuri ground, interiors nashiji, signed Koma Kyuhaku saku; the second designed in black and red tsushu lacquer carved with archaic Chinese scroll, interior black lacquer, signed Yosei; fitted with a green stone ojme and a two-part tsuishu netsuke, the bottom half now lost
