A rare Dutch engraved VOC panel-moulded stem goblet, circa 1730
The round funnel bowl with solid base finely decorated with two three-masted sailing vessels, one inscribed O (for Oosten or East), the other W (for West Indies Co), sailing away from a circular medallion enclosing the lion of Holland as a compass, inscribed below DE NEGOTIE, set on a flattened ball knop and a moulded hexagonal stem with diamonds to the shoulders, folded conical foot, 17.3cm high
