A prayer wheel and Vajra
Tibet, 19th and 16th/17th century
The prayer wheel with an cylindrical box embossed with various auspicious symbols in two bands, containing prayer scrolls and set on a wooden handle. The vajra: the globular pressed central element flanked to both sides by a band of four different modeled faces and lotus petals, supporting eight makara heads each issuing a curved prong, terminating in a plain tip.
