A copper alloy head of a deity
Western Tibet, 12th/13th century
Mounted and backed by a later wooden stand; cast with a tall jatamakuta and five-leaf crown tied by ribbons, whose ends flank the ears. The serene face retains the majority of the cold gilding, along with traces of blue in the hair.
