A gilt copper alloy throne for a deity
Nepal, circa 14th century
The mandala form base protected by two snow lions flanking a central treasure vase issuing scrolling vines. The lotus petal prabhamandala with vyalas supported by elephants below makaras and a squatting Garuda at the crest, framed by a rim of flames. The original gilt base is sealed with a vishsvajra.
