ALAN BEANAN ASTROLOGER'S SONG.
Color photograph, 20 x 15 inches, being a fish-eye lens shot of the top of the Saturn V rocket from the launch tower.
SIGNED by ALAN BEAN and INSCRIBED with a quote from Kipling's poem "An Astrologer's Song": Earth quakes in her throes / And we wonder for why / But the blind planet knows / When her ruler is nigh. Rudyard Kipling. Alan Bean, Apollo 12, Lunar Module Pilot, November 14, 1969." The poem continues "And, attuned since Creation / To perfect accord, / She thrills in her station / And yearns to her Lord." The astrologer of the title argues that, despite what we may fear, nothing in the universe can destroy us except God.
