STAFFORD'S NASA GEMINI 7/6 FLIGHT INFORMATION.
STAFFORD DESCRIBES HIS FLIGHT EXPERIENCES.
"Project: Gemini 7/6 Press Kit, Release No: 65-362." Washington: NASA HQ. November 29, 1965. 81 pp. 10½ x 8 inches. Unbound loose leaf, punched.
With THOMAS P. STAFFORD'S signed provenance letter, dated December 15, 1999, reading in part: "Enclosed is the NASA Headquarters issued Gemini 7/6 Press Kit I received after my Gemini 6 flight.... My Gemini mission training involved reading hundreds of official memos and flight manual sheets. I found it refreshing that this press kit provided the world press and general public a straight forward and easy to understand overview of the complexities of mankind's first rendezvous in space. Many press kit topics address the medical and science test objectives for Gemini 7, which was a 14 day flight.... I am especially proud of the photographic coverage that Wally Schirra and I obtained during our rendezvous with Gemini 7. Those were some of the most dramatic images made during the Gemini flight program... Both Wally and I have signed the first page of this press kit. Wally's inscription of "CDR" stands for commander of the flight while my inscription of "Plt" stands for mission pilot."
SIGNED and INSCRIBED with their individual flight titles by WALLY SCHIRRA and TOM STAFFORD on the title page.
