GEMINI BLUEPRINTSIGNED BY FIVE SPACE PILOTS.
Instruments, Displays, and Controls blueprint illustrating the exact lay-out of the Gemini spacecraft main instrument panel. 9½ x 21 inches.
Spacecraft attitude indicators, abort lights, flight director controller, and power gauges are located at both the Command Astronaut's Panel and the Second Astronaut's Panel. The Command side has an altimeter, descent and indicated air speed gauges, rocket engine status lights, and a digital clock. The digital computer interface, ammeter, 24-hour clock, and fuel cell interfaces are located on the Second Astronaut's Panel. Circuit breaker panels are located to the side of each astronaut and above both. A large central panel pedestal console is located between the two crew men. That central panel has eight large gauges and digital number read-outs with a series of telelight-switches providing the execution and/or status of major flight events.
The upper right-hand corner of the blueprint shows the gauges located on an Agena Target Vehicle that can be seen through the astronaut's front windows when docked to the Agena. The lower left-hand corner illustrates the zigzag pattern of the flight abort handle. Positions are "NORM"[al], "SHUT DOWN" (Command Astronaut moving the handle to the right), and "ABORT" (Command Astronaut moving the handle from shut down diagonally upward to the left).
Boldly SIGNED by WALLY SCHIRRA. Additionally SIGNED and INSCRIBED with their individual Gemini flight number(s) by BUZZ ALDRIN, GORDON COOPER, RICHARD GORDON, and TOM STAFFORD.
