LINDBERGH PHOTOGRAPHS.
Collection of 35 black and white photographs, various sizes, 10 x 8 inches and smaller, mostly press photographs with captions printed or pasted on verso. A little curled and dog-eared, a handful of copy prints.
Images include: Lindbergh and backer Harry Guggenheim about to set off for a quail-hunting party in Virginia; after landing there; with his in-laws; on deck of the Wanamaker yacht Nirvana; ready for take-off in Mahoney's 1928 riff on the Spirit of St. Louis; spectators near the Washington Monument looking out for Lindbergh; prior to departure for Mexico; the Lindberghs in Japan including a relaxed Charles in crumpled linen suit; the plane sans wings, being towed from behind by a troop carrier.
