AMERICAN INVENTOR-PIONEERS.
Group of 4 black and white photographs, 3 being sepia-toned, the largest 5½ x 7½ inches, inkstamps and captions on verso.

Comprising: George R. White, in St. Augustine, Florida, with his ornithopter (a wing-flapping, motorless, foot-propelled flying machine), on September 21, 1927; another iteration of the ornithopter, 1928; the New Yorker Paul Otto Sichert in his yard with his home-made ornithopter; Clarence Chamberlin, who crossed the Atlantic just after Lindbergh, holding a large kite (probably a copy print).
