AUTHORIZED ENLARGEMENT OF LEWIS EVANS' SEMINAL MAP OF COLONIAL AMERICA, published to encourage settlement across the Alleghenies in the Ohio River valley. Pownall extended the map to include New England and the bordering parts of Canada, thus producing a map heavily utilized by both sides in the Revolutionary War and afterward.
