ONE OF THE FIRST IMPORTANT MAPS OF NEW ENGLAND, with an accurate depiction of the Massachusetts coastline and highly influential to would-be Pilgrims. The present is Levinus Hulsius's re-engraving of the first state of the first edition published in London the year before. The title and portrait are in German, the place names remain in English.
