Small 4to (172 x 138 mm). A4 (-A1 & A2) B-M4. Woodcut initials and headpieces. Calf, title stamped in gilt to spine. Lacking first blank, title supplied in expert facsimile, loss of small piece to margins of A4 and B1, a few page numbers partially shaved, final leaf dust-soiled.

SECOND EDITION, FIRST ISSUE, COMBINING THREE IMPORTANT WORKS ON THE VIRGINIA COLONY. The first issue of the first edition contained only the Declaration of the State of the Colony; the Court of the Virginia Company then ordered printed the Orders and Constitutions ... for the better governing of the Actions and affaires of the [Virginia] Companie, which was included in the second issue; a third issue added the Declaration of Supplies intended to be sent to Virginia. The present issue, published the same year as those preceding it, combines all three tracts with continuous pagination and signatures. A scarce item in any form, only three copies between all issues appear in the auction records for the last 35 years. Church 382; Sabin 99880; STC (2nd ed) 24841.6.
