Although still in production since its introduction in January 2006, the Reference 5960 is feted because it houses an in-house automatic chronograph movement. With a contemporary mein, this model features a compact case and round pushers that hark to the ancestry of Reference 3970. The earlier production featured a grey anthracite brushed dial, however, recent issues such as this present lot have a blue brushed dial. The power reserve indication and subsidiary 30 minute register is marked with a 60 minute scale, allowing for greater chronograph timekeeping accuracy. The Reference 5960 is a stellar example of Patek Philippe modern production timepieces.
