A cloisonné-enamelled and gilt-bronze 'bombé' incense burner
Ming dynasty, Jingtai four-character mark
Rising on three compressed foot with ruyi decoration, the thick rim with a band of keyfret borders, the body slightly bulged at the waist, flanked by a pair of furry lion head finials issuing ring handles, the central frieze featuring various blossoming flowers amongst leafy scrolls, framed by a band of chrysanthemum and plum blossom scrolls at the top and bottom, all enamelled in various colours of white, yellow, red, blue and green on a turquoise ground.
