Naturalistically moulded of pomegranate form with a 'water-chestnut' handle and lotus-shoot spout, the skilfully fitted cover moulded in the form of a mushroom, the main body decorated with applied fruits and nuts around the shoulder in differing coloured clays and slip, incised with an extensive inscription in kaishu, the underside of the spout impressed with two zhuanshu seals, the stoneware of a rich beige-brown with extensive paler speckles.
