A George III mahogany 'campaign' secretaire bookcase
In two parts, the rectangular top with chanelled frieze above a pair of octagonal astragal glazed doors enclosing two adjustable shelves above three short drawers, the lower part with a channelled frieze above a secretaire drawer enclosing two large hinged compartments, the left side containing three drawers in the side drawer lining, the right side enclosing three compartments, one with five circular apertures; above four short and one long drawer on bracket feet, both sections with swing brass carrying handles to the sides the key labelled 'Dr Ronald Walker, Ightham Place, Ightham', 104cm wide, 53cm deep, 166cm high (40.5" wide, 20.5" deep, 65" high).
