A very rare Hausmaler chocolate beaker and saucer, probably Meissen porcelain, circa 1740
Probably painted in Bayreuth, in the style of Ignaz Preissler, in black monochrome, with a continuous landscape scene on the beaker depicting figures and buildings around a lake, the saucer with a river scene, the rims with borders of scrolls and flower-heads, the reverse of the saucer painted with a dog in a landscape vignette, incised / inside footrim of saucer (2)
