A Meissen octagonal purple-ground coffee pot and cover, circa 1740
Each side reserved with a gilt-edged shaped quatrelobe panel painted with, on one side, a Kauffahrtei scene of merchants and their wares by a quayside, the reverse with elegant figures in a park setting, the cover reserved with similar scenes and surmounted by a gilt finial, the scroll handle embellished with a gilt trellis and foliate motif, the spout gilt, 22.5cm high, crossed swords mark in underglaze-blue, gilt numeral 29. to both (2)
