Painted in Kakiemon style with the 'Double Quail' pattern depicting two quail flanked by flowering plants, within a shaped quatrefoil reserve on the cup, brown-edged rims, the cup: 6.7cm high; the saucer: 11.9cm diam., crossed swords marks in underglaze-blue, incised // inside footrim of cup and impressed Former's mark ** for Christian Meynert to saucer (2)
