Footnotes

  • Sam Clark's research and classification of Wigornia type creamboats, continued by Dr. Paul Riley, identified nine different primary mouldings used on creamboats of this distinctive type. These are identified by letters A to I in Dr Riley's paper, A Review of 'Wigornia' Cream Jugs, ECC Trans, vol.13, part 3, (1989). The moulding on the present lot does not appear in Riley's classification.
